Expert: Lynn Houston - 10/27/2009

Question
I really don't under stand multi-step equations can you help? MY problems are 1.)-15-6c+3b-6+9+2a
            2.) 3a-4a+6a-9b+4c-10
            3.) b-3c+2a-c-4b-6a
            4.)3c-5a+9b+a-+10

Answer
All they want is for you to combine all like terms.  That means add or subtract all a's, b's, c's, etc and then add the whole numbers together.  And, you generally put the variable (letters) in order.

1.)-15-6c+3b-6+9+2a
2a + 3b - 6c - 12

2) 3a-4a+6a-9b+4c-10
5a - 9b + 4c - 10

3.) b-3c+2a-c-4b-6a
-4a - 3b - 4c

4.)3c-5a+9b+a-+10
-4a + 9b + 3c + 10
