Question
I love math, and I sail through the questions my teacher gives me, but now I'm stuck with my enemy, the "Multiply Fraction Guy" we call him. Do you have to make the denominators the same if you're multiplying them, or does it apply to every thing you do with fractions? Have a nice day (or night)!

Answer
No, actually, that's the good thing about multiplying fractions, you don't have to worry about common denominators.  1/2 times 3/4 = 3/8.  If you made the denominators the same, then you'd have to reduce the fraction when you were done, so it would actually add 2 steps, one, converting to the same denominator and then reducing the fraction.
