Question
PROBLEM READS:2/3F=-24

Answer
Do you mean
(2/3)*F = -24  ...[1]
OR
2/(3F) = -24 ? ...[2]

For [1], multiply both sides of the equation by 3/2. Obviously, 2/3 * 3/2 = 1 on the LHS. So, we are left with F = -24*3/2 = -36.

For [2], use the technique of "cross-multiplication". Basic Idea: A/B=C/D is equivalent to A*D=B*C. So, 2/(3F)=-24/1 is same as 2*1=-24*3F. Finally, divide both sides by (-24*3), i.e., -72. F = 2/(-72) = -1/36.

Expertise

When I work through problems, I like to emphasize concepts which I believe are worth noting. I will try to answer questions in the following areas, but not at the advanced level. Algebra. Sequences & Series. Trigonometry. Functions & Graphs. Coordinate Geometry. Quadratic Polynomials. Exponential & Logarithms. Basic Calculus. Probability, Permutation and Combination. Mathematical Induction. Complex numbers. Physics problems.

Experience

I have worked as a teaching assistant in college. My hope is that more people will share knowledge without boundary, give help without seeking recognition or monetary rewards.
