Question
i need to write an equation in slope intercept form with the slope equaling 2 and the points (3,7) i have no idea how to do this i would really appreciate ur help!

Answer
The equation of a line in slope-intercept form is:

y = mx + b

where m is the slope and b is the intercept

So if m = 2 we know

y = 2x + b

Let's solve for b by substituting the point given (3,7) into this equation.

7 = 2(3) + b
7 = 6 + b
b = 1

So the equation is:

y = 2x + 1
