Question
i measured with a ruler 2.10in is that correct or should it be converted?

Answer
Hi Shunda

I cannot know if you are reading the measurement correctly. But if one inch is divided in 16 equal portions, then each marking represents 1/16 or 0.0625 of an inch, not 0.1 inch as you say.

If an inch is divided only into 8 equal portions, then each finer marking represents 0.125 of an inch.

To be sure, you should look up a picture on a search engine, something along the lines of "reading imperial measurement on a ruler".

Hope this helps

When I work through problems, I like to emphasize concepts which I believe are worth noting. I will try to answer questions in the following areas, but not at the advanced level. Algebra. Sequences & Series. Trigonometry. Functions & Graphs. Coordinate Geometry. Quadratic Polynomials. Exponential & Logarithms. Basic Calculus. Probability, Permutation and Combination. Mathematical Induction. Complex numbers. Physics problems.

Experience

I have worked as a teaching assistant in college. My hope is that more people will share knowledge without boundary, give help without seeking recognition or monetary rewards.
