Question
hi..im having trouble understanding my pre-calculus homework

if f(x)= the square root of 4-x^3
state whether the function f has an inverse.  if f -1 exists, find a rule for f -1(x) abd sgiw that f(f-1(x))=f-1(f(x))=X

Answer

Calculus
Bela,

Below are the four steps to be followed for finding inverse of a function:

1. Equate the function with 'y' i.e. y = f(x)
2. Interchange x's and y's
3. Solve the equation for 'y'
4. Set y = f-1(x)

Since it is not possible to write all these calculations on this page, I am attaching a file <calculus.jpg> with this answer. I have referred to above 4 steps in it. Kindly go through it. It will solve your problem.
