Question
Identify the units on x in each of the following equations.
1. a)x=yz   (both y and z are measured in feet)

b) x=3y^2 (y is measured in inches)

c) x=t^3  (t is measured in seconds)

d) x=4F^2d (both F and d are measured in meters.

2. If x is measured in meters and t is measured in seconds, identify the units on the variable v.
x=vt

3.Determine the units on t if S is measured in dollars and p is measured in dollars per year.
S=pt

Answer
1. a)x=yz   (both y and z are measured in feet)

Square feet

b) x=3y^2 (y is measured in inches)

square inches

c) x=t^3  (t is measured in seconds)

seconds cubed

d) x=4F^2d (both F and d are measured in meters.

sq meters

2. If x is measured in meters and t is measured in seconds, identify the units on the variable v.
x=vt

meters per second

3.Determine the units on t if S is measured in dollars and p is measured in dollars per year.
S=pt

Sorry, not sure.  I think it's years, but not sure.
