Question
could you please round the decimal number  .012146 to the nearest hundred thousandth ?  Thanks

Answer
Hello, David.

The hundred-thousandth place is the fifth spot to the right of the decimal point.

For your question, the hundred-thousandth place is the 4. Since the number to the right of the 4 is 5 or greater, the decimal will round up to the nearest hundred-thousandth.

Therefore, .012146 becomes .01215.

Regards,
John
