Question
if a person can pull 17 parts in a hour and same person can pack 20 parts in a hour how many he can pull and pack in a given hour

Answer
Do you mean how many can he "pull" and then "pack" if he must pack all the ones he pulls?  If so, then let x=the number of parts.
It takes x/17 hrs to pull them, and x/20 hrs to pack them.
So the total time is x/17 + x/20 hrs...which we want to equal 1 hr.

So, x/17 + x/20 = 1 ==> x=340/17 or about 9.2 (9 if rounding off).
