Question
QUESTION: Im having great difficulty in understanding how to do conversions, for example 1120ns = ? ms and 13250L = ? ML, and how to show the workings to the answers!

I feel as though this should be eas, but for some reason im just not getting it!

Thankyou in advance

Harmony

ANSWER: It is easy...

1 ms = 1000 ns and 1 L = 1000 ML, so, just divide ns by 1000 to get ms and multiply L by 1000 to get MLs.  If you were converting MLs to Ls, then divide MLs by 1000.

QUESTION: Okay but is there a soloution to converting all examples of units, such as lenght, distance, volumes etc... is there a table or a set rule? anything that can help?

Answer
The only set rule is to divide or multiply to get from one to the other.  There is no set number because there are different conversions.  Since 1 ft = 12 in and 1L = 1000ML, feet to inches would be times 12 and liters to milliliters would be times 1000. The only thing I can suggest, if you need to show your work, is to go to a conversion sight www.onlineconversion.com and find out how many units are in one unit of what you're converting from and then show the math.  If you're going from larger to smaller units, you'd multiply and if going from smaller to larger, you'd divide.  If you don't need to show work and just need to know how a certain measurement converts, then just use the conversion site.
