Question
p/-3+(-8)=-8

Answer
Maribeth,

Let us solve this:

p/-3 + (-8) = -8

Since -8 is present on both sides of the equation, we can eliminate it from both sides (OR we can say that we move -8 from left side to right with change in sign. So it becomes -8 + 8 on the right side)

p/-3 = 0

Moving -3 to right side

p = 0 * -3

Hence p = 0

I believe this solves your problem. Kindly let me know if anything is not clear.

All the best. :)

Pawan
