Question
in one season a basketball player missed 15% of her free throws.  how many free throws did she make if she attempted 160 free throws ..I HAVE SO MANY PROBLEMS WITH THESE QUESTIONS ..

Answer
If she misses 15%, then 160(.15) = the number she misses.  To get the number she makes, just subtract the number she misses from 160.  Or, if she misses 15%, then she makes 85% and you can just multiply 160(.85).  Either way, she makes 136 free throws.
