People always buy goods, associated with the originals price of the good, comes a Tax. The questioner wants you to calculate the overall cost given that the tax rate is 7%.
We have already assumed that the price of the item is P. The tax rate is 7% means; there is an additional price which is 7% of the original price. Now let’s calculate it.
To find the tax, multiply 0.07(7%) by the original price, P.
0.07 * P = 0.07P
What remains is the summation.
0.07P (Tax) + P (Original Price) = 1.07P.
Therefore the overall cost for any item of original price P and tax rate 7% is exactly 1.07P.
C = 1.07P

I also have a score of 90 out of hundred in the later Examination which is the toughest known in Ethiopia. So you don’t have to worry about my ability to help my clients.
