What is the reciprocal of -5/8 is is -8/5.

The basic behind reciprocal is that the product of a number and its reciprocal should be always one.

Hence reciprocal of -5/8 is -8/5. Product of these two numbers is 1. (-5/8 * -8/5 = 1).
