Question
What is the hypotenuse and how do you solve for it.

Answer
The hypotenuse is the side of a right triangle opposite the right angle or the longest side of a right angle.  a^2 + b^2 = c^2 where a and b are the two sides of a right triangle and c is the hypotenuse.  So, in order to find the hypotenuse, you need to know the length of the two sides.
