Question
Hi,
My question is how do you add two percentages together and if you divide the total by 200.  For example, 32.7 + 61.4 =93.7  My other question is should I put the percentage sign after the 32.7 and 61.4, if so, I get a different number.

Would you be able to give me some insight?
Thank you,
Jan

Answer
if percentages are giving you problems, just treat them as fractions... when you add fractions with the same denominator, you don't double the denominator.

32.7% = 32.7/100 and  61.4% = 61.4/100 so to add them, it's just

32.7/100 + 61.4/100 = 94.1/100 or 94.1% (not sure where u got 93.7)  Also, not sure what you mean about putting the percentage sign after the numbers and getting a different number.  Anyway you add it, you get 94.1...
