How do i change 7-1/2% to a fraction?
Hello, Cassie.
To convert 7 1/2% to a fraction, first change the 1/2 to a decimal by dividing 2 into 1, giving you .5.
7 1/2% = 7.5%
Next, to convert 7.5% to a decimal, move the decimal point two places to the left, giving you .075.
.075 written as a fraction is 75/1000 (3 places to the right of the decimal point is the thousandths place).
Finally, reduce 75/1000, giving you a final answer of 3/40.
Answer: 3/40
