hello,

Math skills leave a little to be desired. I need to add 30% to these amounts.

$20.84

and 94.06

Thank you very much.

Russ Bryan

Hello Russ,

One way to add 30% to a number is to take 30% of it, then add the result.

So, for $20.84... 30% of it is 0.30 x $20.84 = $6.252, round to the nearest

penny to get $6.25...now add that to $20.84 to get $27.09

The quicker way is to simply multiply your amount by 1.30...so 1.30 x $20.84

is $27.092...round to $27.09

Similarly, 1.30 x 94.06 = 122.278 if this is also a monetary value, then round

to the nearest penny... 122.28

Good?
