Expert: Scarlett - 1/5/2007

Hi Scarlett,
I recently started to help a 5th grader in my neighborhood with brushing up on her multiplication facts and short division.  
She makes many simple mistakes. Like not adding/subtracting correctly, not bringing numbers down when multiplying or dividing.
Any suggestions on how I can help her?

Hmm there really is no answer apart from practice - get her to keep practising a lot. Also, make sure her brain is working efficiently - does she eat properly? get enough sleep? these could be reasons why her concentration isn't good. Hope this helps - it's all I can think of
