Question
What is the importance for a business person to be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide?
Hello Diane,
If for no other reason, people in business deal with money!
I hope you can see the importance of arithmetic in dealing
with money...no?
Aside from the usual adding and subtracting dollar values,
multiplying dollar values by factors and rates, and
dividing dollar values for distribution...basic arithmetic
along with exponentiation is needed to calculate interest
rates and payment schedules (for loans and pay-outs).
