Question
What is the difference between an algebraic expression and an equation? Thanks so much!

Answer
Hello Dee,

An expression is just a collection of symbols (variables,
numbers, functions, etc.)  An equation EQUATES two expressions

So, 3x+6 and 6xy-8 are both algebraic expressions,
while 3x+6=6xy-8 is an equation (it has an 'equals' sign).
