Sorry, but the answer to the weighted average formula previously posted seems to be just an average of the items listed. I don't see where the weighted part comes in.
Shouldn't a weighted average answer be a little different than just an average because some of the items somehow have more significance? In the example given, the answer is 4.555... This is exactly the same answer you get by just adding the items up and dividing by the number of items.
