Question
Hi,

I would like to know how do i get a percent of something from a calculator. What are the steps that I have to do to get, for instance the 305 of $25.00.

 Hope you can help.
Thank You,
Karyna

Answer
Hi Karyna,

I am very sorry for this late reply.
I thought I entered the right date for my vacation in the system, but apparently questions are still getting through.

We can convert a percentage X into a decimal by dividing it by a 100.
30% is just 30/100 or 0.30 in decimal form.
To get 30% of 25.00, you can punch in the following

[2][5] [x] [3][0] [/] [1][0][0] [ANS]

Note: Depending on your brand and model, you may gain access to the [%] botton on your calculator via the [SHIFT] key. Refer to the manual if you want to know.
But it is not really necessary, since you can always convert any percentage to a decimal and enter it directly as an equation into your calculator.

For example, 42.5% is the same as 42.5/100 or 0.425 (in decimal)

Sorry once again for the late reply. I didn't know you could reach me while I was away.
