hey im Zach im 16 and I want to be an nba scout but I don't no what I need to do to become one I play basketball all the time and I live in mn so I seen some of the best play and I was just wondering what I need to do to become a scout  I have seen a lot of games and I can see strengths and weeknesses sometimes im not sayin im the best out there or any thing but im not a valadictorian or any thing but I love the game and I could play all day every day so if u could send me some info about it would help out a lot thanks a lot

HI Zack,

I would start by contacting some Division 1 colleges. Your not going to start scouting in the NBa without some college recruiting and scouting experience, unless you really know someone. But you can also contact some of the NBA team's front offices and ask them about their scouting program. I'm sure they can give you a lot of advice there. Good Luck, and if basketball is a passion of yours, then pursue it all the way!!!
I wish I would have pursued being an NBA official.
