If your speaking about the offensive strategy, the press break is a strategy that allows the offensive team to successfully break through the full court press, a defensive strategy in which many or sometimes all players on the defensive team pressure the ball handler in the back court in order to keep the offensive team from advancing the ball pass the mid-court line within the 10 seconds, or to steal the ball. The purpose is to be able to successfully advance the ball into the front court.
