Offensive guard has ball on wing and picks up dribble behind the three point arc. Fake pass back to point at top and throw no look past to post player. Defender deflect pass into the air and it goes through the basket. Two point goal or three point goal
Andy, that is a great question, and I've never seen that before. In order for it to count as a 3 pointer, the ball must go UN-touched by any player on the court from the time it leaves the offensive players hand's til the time it drops through the hoop, with one exception, if a goal-tending violation was called. If the defender was standing in 2-point territory, only 2 points can be awarded. Thanks for that question.
