Basketball Instruction/tryout for nba

Question
I have already graduated from college but could go back if need be. I want to know if there are any ways to tryout for an nba team or getting ahold of scouts to tryout for without going through the "system" of school and getting drafted?

I'm not a 100% sure, but I believe some NBA teams do have open try outs, and they have summer-pro league teams that you can get involved in, and scouts definitely show up there. You would have to work your way into the NBA D-League somehow and really shine in that league to have a shot at the NBA. Just check around your local area for the summer Pro-Leagues.  I have actually been to a few of them in my area, and I will probably be officiating them soon.
