Question
Can a 3second violation be called when rebounding on the offensive end of the court? Example, guard shoots 3-pointer, forwards and center are in the lane, in position for a rebound, ref calls 3 seconds as they battle other players for rebound.

Hi Jerome,

The answer to your question is no, not in the scenario you just described. After a shot attempt, the 3 second count starts over. And at that point  no team has control of the ball, so therefore a 3 second call cannot be called.  Once the offensive team regains possession of the ball in their front court, the 3 second count begins again if members of the offensive team are in the Key.
