Question
Hi, I'm 16 years old and have been playing basketball for about 6 years.I have never played in an organized league, so i never hade proper instruction on shooting. I basicly shoot with 2 hands. What kind of drills can i do to improve my shot.(esp from 3 point land)

Answer
Hello Gabe!

The best drill is to simply lie on your back and with one hand hold the ball on your fingertips. Then try and spin the ball vertically straight up and catch it in the same hand. No second hand. Feel the ball with the calluses and fingertips only. Make sure the palm doesn't touch the ball. The game is one of finesse and feel. The touch of shooting is one of feel. Feel the ball with just the fingers. Do this everday. It will also help you get your elbow more vertical.

I hope this helps.
