Hi Michael,
This is not a instruction question, but I'm sure you'll know the answer. I'm a translator and the expression "sub-500 record" keeps appearing in this file I'm working at. I know it sounds dumb, but I really don't get it, and apparently it's so obvious that I could't find any explanation on the net.

When they are refer to sub-500 record they mean that a team has a winning percentage of less then 50%. Example The Lakers are 36-52, This is a sub-500 record. They have only won 36 games and lost 52. There winning percentage is around 39%. I hope this helps. Good luck with the translation.
