Question
What are the rules on citizenship for pro Basketball? Can someone who is illegally here play as a team member in a United States Pro Basketball Team?
No, of course not -
There are 2 issues here - 1st the person must take steps to legally be in the USA.
2nd, the person would have to be considered good enough to enter the NBA draft or become a free agent. This requires both experience and recognition by (NBA scouts) as a top level player in college (USA) or pro league in another country.
