Question
I read somewhere that kids in the ghetto have PHD poor, hungry, and driven. I'm only driven, is there any way I can develop the same ferocity on the court.

Answer
Hello Terry

You say that of PHD you are only driven, well, what you need to understand is that there IS ONLY driven - other variables add or take away how much.   Being driven is a combination of confidence, motivation and focus.

What you need to learn is how badly you want a high level of drive on the court.

Here are the questions I ask EVERY competitor I work with in my office:

1) What specifically do you want?
2) What will getting that do for you?
3) What do you need to get it?
4) How badly do you want it?
5) Are you willing to pay the price to get it?

Answer these questions honestly.  Those answers can help you build your drive to the level you want, and maybe even more.

What I'd also suggest is that you answer them again every two weeks.  That way you can track your progress.  This is what top-level players do.

Good luck and let me know how it goes.
