How Can I shoot better in the paint when everyone is a foot taller than me?

Try these 2 things... you must either stay/get completely away from the defender, or you must touch/make contact with the defender.

Power Layup - get sideways to the basket/parallel to the baseline, squeeze the ball w/both hands and jump under/into the defenders armpit, and shoot off the backboard with both hands to be able to withstand contact and still make the shot.

Stepback/Jumpback fadeaway shots - go backwards, or sideways l/r away from the defender to shoot a regular jumpshot or jumphook.

Work on your outside game and shoot out away from the defenders. Also work on your midrange shot. When they start to come out to get you - use your quickness to go by them, and if nesc. pull up just outside the paint to avoid defenders rotating over to help!
