Question
hi, I'm a 5'7" guard from BC Canada and know that basketball isn't very good here.  Could you tell me what areas I should practice in most to get noticed by coaches. Any advice or information would be great thanks!

Answer
Hi Kyle,

Without knowing how old you are I am guessing you are a point guard. I would work on my ball handling to the point where people will be amazed as this is expected from a point guard. I would also work on being the best passer, coaches and teammates love a point guard that can get the ball to the shooter at the right time. Jason Kidd is an expert at this. Then I would work on knockng down the open shot, 2's and 3's. As a point guard you always look to pass first and then shoot but it is important to be able to knock down the open shot. Last but no least I would work on defense especially on ball defense full court. Coaches love a player that is willing to play "hard nose" defense the enire game for the entire length of the court. I hope this helps and good luck with your game!
