who were some of the early heroes of the game. basketball
Early heroes include James Naismith - he invented the game.
George Mikan was the first post player/big man in the game.
Ray Meyer coached Mikan and invented post play. Also look up Henry Iba, Phog Allen, and John Wooden. Let me know if you need more names or more recent people - good luck!
