I am a Duke fan and I really want to play for Duke.So please help me.I am 11 years old, and 5 foot 4 inches tall. I am homeschooled and I have alot of time to practice.I love basketball!

I wanted to ask you about having good form.I really need help with it.I try to get it when people tell me, but I still don't understand.

What conditioning schedule would be good for me at my age?

Answer
Hi Matt,

That is a great goal to have but understand the best of the best play at Duke for Coach "K". So if you want to make your goal a reality it is going to take lots and lots of hard work. You must practice consistently and properly so here is a website that has great instruction for shooting and all the fundamentals of basketball. There are also small videos to help get an idea of proper technique for shooting and fundamentals. There is also a section that deals with conditioning but my suggestion would be to just play as much basketball as you can. This will serve as your conditioning for right now. More importantly than all the basketball is your grades. Duke has a high academic standard for acceptance to there school. You can become the best player in the nation and if you don’t have the grades you won’t make it to Duke. Coach "K" really stresses Student/Athlete. Notice student comes before athlete. Good luck and let me know how the shooting comes along after practicing what is on the site below....
