In 1952 Kansas University won the NCAA They then played the AAU champion to determine who would be the head coach at the Olympics.  Who was the AAU team and who was their coach.  Also was this the last time a college team went to the ?lympics as such?

 Howdy- The team was the Peoria Caterpillars (so named because all of the players had jobs with the Caterpillar Company  and were making more than all but a few NBA players at the time).  I believe that their coach was Warren Womble.
  I assume that in your second question  you mean college players instead of NBA-ers making up the team.  That would be 1988.
