Question My son was recently in a basketball camp where they rated and labeled players. He was labeled as a "CG". I am familiar with Point Guards and Shooting Guards, but what is a "CG".

Answer It stands for combination guard a point guard who can also move over to shooting guard. This is a great postion for your son because someone must feel your son has point guard skills along with shooting guard size or ability or both. If it was my son I would really work on point guard skills along with on the ball defense because many coaches say every good team must have a good point guard to run the team and the ability to stop the other teams point guard.
