Has Karl Malone EVER started as a center?
Well, if you ask if he has EVER started as a center, unfortunatelly I don't have the stats for each and every one of his 1000+ games. Maybe one or two games in one season, I'd say. He has always been a prototype power forward, and the Jazz were always equipped with at least one "true" center.
