Basketball Trivia (general) - Larry Bird

Expert: Lee Roy Fagan - 11/29/2005

Question
Wasn't Larry Bird a power forward? The reason I ask is because people keep saying that Tim Duncan is the best power forward of all-time, and I can't imagine that he's better than Bird was.

Thanks,
John

Answer
Yes John, Larry Bird was a power forward and in my opinion, was the best ever.  It is my opinion that during the days of David Robinson, Duncan was considered a forward and Robinson the center.  But since Robinson's retirement, Duncan plays a bigger role at center. And it is probably bias that I am a huge Larry Bird fan.   Thanks for the question, and any more Larry questions are welcome.
