how can one get into the N.B.A. without getting drafted.

Answer
Well, there are several ways to enter the NBA outside of being drafted. A team can sign a player who lost his draft eligibility as a free agent (e.g. overseas players older than 22). A player could be spotted in a summer league and then be signed, of even participate in open tryouts, if a team is holding them. Basically, whoever isn't drafted can be signed as a free agent.
