My Dad and I remember a Russian basketball team back in the late 70's that
played the then-top-ranked UCLA Bruins and gave them a serious run for their
money. Can you remember what that team was?

Howdy- Hmmm...I thought I saw every UCLA basketball game played in the seventies, but this rings no bells.  Of course, that does NOT mean that it didn't happen- my memory is no where near what it was back then- but, if they did play a Russian team, it would either have been the Soviet National team, Moscow Dynamo, or the Red Army team.  Sorry I couldn't have been more help.
