Question
Who was the last European-American player to lead the NBA in A) scoring (Points per game) in a season, and B)rebounds per game in a season?

I bet my friend that A) is Pete Maravich, and B) is Dave Cowens. Am I right?

Answer
If by European-American you mean caucasian (as in white), then you're exactly half-right.
Pete Maravich was the last EA ;-) to lead the NBA in scoring, averaging 31.1 ppg for the New Orleans Jazz in 1976-77. Before him the last one was Jerry West in 1969-70 (31.2, Los Angeles).
Dave Cowens, on the other hand, never even lead the league in rebounds. The most recent EA who was the NBA's top rebounder was Bill Laimbeer, averaging 13.1 for Detroit in 1985-86. Before him, Swen Nater was tops in 1979-80 (15.0, San Diego), and Bill Walton in 1976-77 (14.4, Portland).

I hope this answered your question.
