About Expert Expertise I can answer most any questions about Brian Wilson, Dennis Wilson, quite a few on Carl Wilson, Al Jardine, Mike Love, Bruce Johnston and just about anything regarding the band as a whole.
Question Hi Cindy, Brian has been a hero of mine since the early 60's. I read his book, Wouldn't It Be Nice and have it here. It ends with his lawsuit against Capitol Records to regain rights to his own music unresolved. Mike Love also had litigation against Brian, claiming he was never given royalties for Help Me Rhonda & Good Vibrations. Do you know how those lawsuits came out? Also, does Brian now have a recording studio in his home? And lastly, are Wilson Philips recording again? Thank you Cindy for any info you might direct my way. Bill
Answer Hi Bill,
First of all, I would like to just say that book should be taken with a grain of salt. Dr.Landy made several fabrications in that book. Secondly, Mike did not get the money for those two songs because Murray. Brian did shell out $5 million to him for it, but it wasn't his fault. Brian does have a recording studio in his home...or he did when he lived in IL. I'm sure he had one moved to his CA when he sold his IL home. Wilson Phillips have been "recording" together since 2001. The album was supposed to come out at the beginning of 2002 :) Let's hope it will actually come out! :) I'm praying!
