Question I loom bead and try to attach to leather for barrettes can I glue them or do they need to be sewn?
Answer First - I'm sorry for the delay in replying but I have had a computer mess and I could not get to my mail.
I would definitely sew them onto leather or ultra suede. Ultra suede would be much easier to sew through. If you sew to leather find Glover's needles but be very careful as the points are razor sharp and could cut your warp and weft threads on your beaded piece. If you were to glue it and something comes apart, you will not be able to repair the piece. Glue is so stiff and it really changes the feel of the beadwork.
I guess it could be glued but I just would not recommend it.
I hope this helps
