Beadwork/Small beaded lizard

Question
I have been asked by a friend to make her a beaded lizard on a necklace.  She wants it in various shades of purple and about 2" to 2 1/2" long.  I said I would try if I can find a pattern. Have you any ideas and if so, what beads do you suggest?

Answer
Well if you used seed beads to make a beaded lizard that was meant to be made with larger beads, it might work.  Here are some links with projects like I am describing.  You might be able to find free projects online too.  I would use size 11 or 8 seed beads.
