Question
Hi Pamela!

I am currently expecting and want to make a mommy bracelet, with my soon to be daughter's name on it, however I have no experience with beadwork and need a little bit of help!  First of all, I am confused about what size wire to buy?  How do I know what size goes with my beads?  Right now I have 4 mm Crystal Beads and 3 mm Silver beads that came with a kit that included stretch cord, that I have chosen NOT to use. (I want to use wire instead).  Secondly, I have a project for another bracelet and it calls for 26-lb. nylon covered wire.  Is that the same as 26 gauge wire?  Thank you for any assistance that you can provide.

Shannon

Answer
You need to use Soft Flex.  It is the best in the coated wires as it kinks less than the other brands.  You can contact them and they will tell you the best size to use with your beads.

I agree on not using the stretch cord.  I use it when I am making things for the little ones but not much else.
