Beadwork/triple helix

Question
Hi Pamela, I purchased your zingy triple African helix pattern cos I love tubular/spiral. I worked it around a piece of plastic pipe from my fish tank. That first round was a killer. I couldn't get it to stay put. so I added in a couple of half hitches. Yes that worked. I worked about 1.5 inches as a trial piece, but when I removed the inner, it's just collapsed. Maybe if I had used fireline, not nymo it would have stood better ?Tell me, please how the tension could be made tauter,if that is the word...... and would fireline give a firmer finish?

Answer
Well I don't think it will make that much of a difference.  I love helix and I don't use fireline and mine is a nice stiff bracelet.  I either used nymo or Silamide to make it.
I think how tight you bead is most of it though.  If you don't bead this stitch tight, then it would collapse...  Wouldn't matter what thread you use.  You can try fireline and make sure you pull nice and tight.  Maybe that will work.

I do have to ask though why you contacted me here.  There should be contact info on the helix directions.  you can e-mail me at violetbead@aol.com or pamyspatterns@aol.com in the future.
