Beagles/7 month old Beagle still NOT potty trained!

Question
We have a very lovable 7 month old Beagle.  From the time we got her at 3 months old we have been very diligent about watching her signs, taking her out after eating, playing, napping.  She has never let us know when she has to pee so, we are always watchful.  She has, however, always told us when she has to poop and has always done that outside.  She got a little better but continued to pee in the house every few days which we were looking at as progress (she only has access to 2 rooms).  Over the last week or so, she has started peeing in the house on a fairly regular basis and most of the time it is right at someone's feet, under someone's chair at the dinner table, etc., all without so much as a signal, whimper, whine, or scratch at the door!  Now, today is the second day in a row that she has pooped in the house which she has never done.  I am so frustrated and discouraged.  We thought we were doing everything right, but nothing is working and it appears she is actually regressing.  Please HELP!

Answer
Hi Susan,  I wonder if she has pressure in her bladder and a UTI?
Sounds like a low grade urine infection to me.   Please call your vet for an exam.
She may need some antibiotics for your local Vet.
After that, contact me and we can talk behavior.  Just sounds medical.
I like to rule-out any medical problems first.
The pooping can be from pressure on her bladder and discomfort.

Please let me know what the Vet says?

Since they lived in packs for hundreds of years, they naturally enjoy the company of other dogs and humans. Curious and comedic, they often follow their noses–which can lead to some mischief if they are not provided with daily activity.
