Question
I have an 8 week old male beagle named Presley.  Of course he does the normal puppy things such as chewing, the potty slip ups, etc.  However overall he is doing pretty well.  We also have a Lhaso Opsa that we let roam the house.  During the day I keep Presley crated, and let the other dog roam.  Do you see any problems with keeping one crated and the other free?

Answer
How long is Presley crated during the day? Dogs are pack animals and of course Presley would rather be with you or your Lhaso Apsa. Presley is not going to like this!
It shouldn't be a problem but, if I was you I would limit the Lhaso Apsa as well. Instead of giving him run of the house I would limit him to a large area (living room, dining room) and keep Presley in that area (crated) as well. I don't think your Lhaso will care much but, it will help Presley out to be closer to your other dog.

Fellow beagle lover,

Kenny
